I maintain the idea that we should shift to monthly shifts in time. Six up and six down by 10 minutes. Wasn't exactly tenable for a long time, as that was a lot of clocks to change. Modern times have most people not even realizing that their phones and such updated last night. Just the odd "why is the oven wrong this time?" Followed usually by "why do we even have a dumb clock on the oven?"

My argument remains that this gets closer to how sundials worked, where the natural shift in the amount of sun you get in the day automatically shifted people's behaviors. With the major grant that I did not appreciate how much the sun changes throughout the year until I lived further north.

I also fully grant that this has a snow ball's chance in hell.
